Dancing Teddy Bears JSK Progress

I am finally back after a long while! ♥

I was actually just being lazy the past few weeks and a

lot has happened. I don't really like blogging about my personal life

but let's just say that last week was the most horrible week

I had to go through. From unprofessional bosses to getting mugged to

a family secret that I wasn't really ready to find out about (and it

obviously broke my mom's heart. I hate it when my mom cries..).

So yeah, Most of the times I'm off from work, I just

want to treat them as, well, my day off -- from everything. I just want

to take my rests. Our workplace is the most stressful

environment I have to endure in my every graveyard shift.

But yesterday was different. I had to do something to

ease off the anger, sadness and every tiny bit of negative

energy in my system. And I know that sewing my own

dress will definitely do the trick. If my back could talk, it

would so lovingly throw a bunch of cuss words at me.

I decided to try to finish sewing a skirt or a dress out of my teddy

bear fabric. You can see my previous post about it here.

I was planning to just make a skirt out of the fabric. I ended up

making a JSK instead. And, wow I slacked off for almost 3 months!

Now that's a long resting period lol!

Here's the JSK so far:

Sorry for the sucky photos, I took this earlier this morning right
after sewing and my hands were trembling lol, I was like, okay that's good enough. XD

It's far from done. It's missing a lot of elements,

the sewing is still quite messy underneath.

I actually used raschel lace for the top part of the bodice.

I do not like using raschel lace but it turned out nicely. What do you think? :)

I couldn't finish it 'cause I started at night up to 4 in the morning. My

back is, I think, developing rayuma (haha, kidding of course!) so I had to sleep.

I wasn't able to finish it. I can't wait to, though. I swear I'm gonna get back on it

next weekend! ♥

Custom Blue Tea Party Shoes! ♥

I got my tea party shoes from the shoemaker! Though they might not

look exactly like AP's tea party shoes, I instantly fell in love with them! ♥

I took photos of the shoes in the office, hence, the bland carpet. lol;;

So here they are:

At first I was like, woah, the color could've been more lighter and the shape is a lot different

from the original. Not to mention, the bows on the front part of the shoes are smaller.

But then, when I got to wear them. I suddenly felt... happy. ♥

I love the bows on the back part of the shoes. ♥

I love the sparkly heart buckles! So adorable. ♥

The best part is that they were able to put perfect scalloped edges. The woman

from the shop I claimed these from told me that they had to make sure the edges were

even and that's why it took so long for them to finish this. I'd argue with her but I was too

busy looking at how perfect the shoes look on my feet and thinking omg I love them, so cuuuute.

I wore them from the shop to the office. They're the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn.

Another plus points! I'd wear flat shoes over heels anytime because I usually choose comfort over

everything else, so these are, again, so perfect. ♥

I can't wait to wear them this saturday with my pink and blue coord. Whoever's

going to attend Ozine Fest, see you there! ♥

I just conquered my fear of wearing Fuchsia.

Hi! Today I'm showing you guys a new coordinate.

And I'm sorry for not being able to post for a loooooooong while. T_T

Anyhow, I bought this Shirley Temple fuchsia jacket years ago:

I was never able to wear it 'cause I was scared to. It might not look nice on my

complexion. I know, why did I buy it if I weren't even gonna wear it.

Well this jacket is a really lucky find. I bought this for just about $5 from a thrift shop.

And as I promised myself, I have to eventually be able wear it.

It actually looks nice with my Bodyline Carousel JSK. ♥

Look at that round face, lol. I'm loving this coordinate, I think

I want to go to a next Lolita gathering/meet wearing these. ♥

And of course, this is me trying to take a decent photo of

me and my baby. (Her name is Khakie.)

It's really difficult to take photos with/of her, she's a ball of energy. D:

So, yeah, I was finally able to conquer my fear of wearing the color fuchsia.

Sweet Lolita makes me experiment on colors and this is one of the reasons why I love the lolita fashion so much. ♥

Dream of Lolita has released their Sugary Carnival replica.

I would definitely buy this replica and hope that the quality would

be satisfactory enough for me to wear it anytime I want. ♥

I'm planning on buying it in Lavender or Sax.

I'm still saving up for the Milky Planet JSK, but it's taking forever

so I'm going to go for this replica first.

Cyril Lumboy's Talk and Mini Tea Party ♥

February 22, 2011 -- I went to St. Scholastica's College Manila to model for my friend

Cyril Lumboy. She designs and sews her own Lolita dresses. She's also a

student at UP Diliman and she's taking up Anthropology. I am this proud. XD

So here are some photos of the event:

The organizers were awesome and super fun art students (lol)

and they served brownies, cupcakes and tea! They were so nice and

accommodating. I couldn't be thankful enough 'cause they made sure to make the event

extra special for Cy and for us models.

Emerald! The surprise Lolita. ♥

Emerald is one of the art students, one of the models didn't make it so

Cy announced that anyone can wear the Kuro-Lolita dress, Emerald was

chosen by the majority. ♥

When the event was close to ending, the organizers gave us models these cute
dessert towels.

so much already! I love meeting new people and having new friends so this day was really

Teddy Bear Skirt Progress

I will not be able to finish the skirt tonight, so I'll just be posting

photos of its progress.

I wanted to make a scalloped skirt. I found a tutorial here which

was really really useful.

They actually turned out nicely, I had to repeat the lines

to make sure the measurement doesn't go haywire.

So here's how it looks so far:

I basically lack a lot of things, hence, I can't finish it. I'm also out of

time. I need to sleep early or else my skin will get back at me and I can't

afford anymore break outs, I'm gonna be modelling for a friend this Tuesday. >_<

I can't wait to finish this, I find it so frustrating not being able to. I stay over at

my boyfriend's house every weekdays. I can't bring my sewing machine with me

'cause travelling with a huge bag, a heavy sewing machine with my tiny

body don't really add up nicely lol

So, yeah, 'til next week chocolate-blueberry-teddy-bear-skirt-thingy. >3<

Fabric Hunting~! ♥

Earlier, I went fabric hunting. I was only able to check two

stores 'cause the only place where there are whole lots of fabrics is

too far and I only have so much time to make a skirt because tomorrow is office

day again. Do not waaant. ; . ;

Anyhooow, I only brought my cellphone with me so please forgive the low picture quality. |D

Here are two of the fabrics that, in my opinion, would look really nice

if made into lolita skirts or even lolita jumper skirts without using too much

ruffles because of their designs:

I'm gonna make a skirt out of them. The bear fabric is

the base. Since I'm already waiting for blue tea party shoes

to come (yup, paid for it! 2-3 weeks before I can get 'em!) I have

to make the most of the shoes and make/buy as many blue stuff as I can. XD

I hope I can finish the skirt tonight! Now allow me to leave, run to my room, lock

the doors and sew sew sew~! ♥

Food Post! Mini Pizzas~ ♥

I was craving for pizza earlier, instead of buying pizza from Pizza Hut

or Yellow Cab or wherever is easier to get it and eat it at once, my Mom

bought ingredients for me to make home-made mini pizzas. :|

Well It's okay. I'm happy my Mom appreciates

whatever I can make. :)

I used bell pepper, onion, mozarella and spiced ham as toppings

for the mini pizzas, yum!

Hi, ugly black nail polish. x );

Can't. stare. stomach.. too. full.

I was able to make 14 mini pizzas. Now I feel reeeaaally bloated.

So to add to the normal-ness of this post, here's me in my

Gothic Lolita Wigs! ♥

Gothic Lolita Wigs have been producing really beautiful wigs and I'm not one

to miss out! I'm so lucky my friend, Cyril, let me purchase one in a group order

with her.

I'm gonna be getting the Pink and Blonde Split:

Totally gorgeous! ♥ I 'm not really ready to wear any

color other than pink so this is gonna be a safe and gradual change for me. I've

always considered Miwako fom the manga Paradise Kiss as my

inspiration for dressing up so I became really attached to wearing pink hair.

I guess that explains that.

Here's one wig I would definitely want to try:

It's so out of my comfort zone, but I don't mind trying it for a change. Really yummy

Blue and Pink Candy Coordinate!

Hello~! ♥

I missed wearing this pink wig! This is my first wig ever! ♥

So today I thought of taking pictures of me wearing

the blue skirt my Twinnie sold to me.

I'll only post one from about 10 shots I took using

self-timer 'cause I was practically using the same pose in all

of them and this one had the best lighting. XD

I am wearing no shoes. ; w ;

I seriously don't have any shoes to wear with this coordinate. This is why

I am gonna buy blue tea party shoes as soon as I can!

Overtime Dolly~!

I've been spending more time in the office since January.

They decided to decrease people from our department because there were too many of us back in December. Now we're in dire need of people because there are too few of us. lol

Anyhow, I've been hogging overtime money for a month now and it's awesome! I go as far as

taking 4 hours of overtime. So technically, I spend 12hrs in the office. Everyday.

I can now consider myself a zombie.

But, yeah, it's awesome 'cause more overtime = more moneh! Which means I will

be able to buy more stuff for myself kufufufu.

Like I mentioned on my previous post, I'll be buying myself a pair of these:

I am also aiming to buy me a Milky Planet OP or JSK in Sax:

Rilakkuma + New Bodyline Skirt ♥

Most of the time, Mark (boyfriend) and I spend the weekends strolling the mall. When we went to Watson's to buy some meds, I roamed around and I saw this small section full of Rilakkuma stuff.

I was really surprised 'cause it's just. not. normal. （≧∇≦）;;

They had vanity bags, shower caps, umbrellas and blankets.

I asked boyfie to buy me a Rilakkuma blanket. I was hoping for it to be, you

know, a blanket that could cover my whole body when I sleep. (I didn't really

check the measurements lol);;

hahaha! Still cute, tho. XD;

Also, I was able to buy a bodyline skirt from my friend/twin, Sammy.

I love this print so much! Bodyline stopped producing skirts/dresses using this

print. I'd love to wear this with my pink blouse and pink wig. ♥ ♥ ♥

Also, after a few hours, I'm finally done with my jumping Totoro GIF. hahaha.

I just love Totoro so much. I wasn't able to watch My Neighbor Totoro when

I was a kid and I can say that my childhood is therefore incomplete. lol!

Making this GIF wasn't that difficult, I just had to make a whole lot of frames to make

Totoro smile, jump and blink.

First of all, as much as I'm super excited to post photos of today's gathering, I can't. I'm blogging from an office computer and USB's are not allowed. >3<)

But since I was really happy today, I can't wait to blog about it. Today I had fun with friends and met familiar faces. I got to wear my new dress and got to see Jaja's new atelier. It was kind of her to invite me to her place and I'm really really impressed (and a little jealous..hihihi) of her improvement.

The whole time we spent were of laughs and hugs.

I'm basically a happy person, and I love hugs. ♥

So, I would definitely want more of this kind of gathering. It was just pure clean fuuuun~

I didn't even wanna leave.. If I didn't have work today, I wouldn't have left early. I even called our office to inform that I was gonna be late to stay just a little bit longer.

This should be good start of the year. New friends and nothing but good vibes. ♥ ♥

Self-made Ribbon Jumper Skirt ♥

It's Crafty Camila Day hihihi. I started sewing yesterday morning 'til midnight. I really wanted to finish a lolita dress or jumper skirt so I can wear it for a January 8 gathering.

I slept for atleast 4 hours and finished the jumper skirt today.

Ribbon Dress! ♥

I made the skirt part really wide so it would look super fluffly when used with really thick petticoats. I used a half-body mannequin to hang the dress, making it look less wide on camera than it should be.

This is the second time I'm able to make a jumper skirt.
The first one was back when my best friend and I still had an online shop
selling gothic and lolita items. I only followed whichever tutorial I can find useful
on youtube, egl (LJ), anywhere else. Thank you interwebs! XD

The ribbon/tie for the waist are lilac on the opposite side, also I added shirring

so I don't have to sew a zipper on the dress. I don't like sewing on zippers. XD;

And as you can see, there's still so much space for a petticoat to make the

dress look super bell-shaped. I need a new petticoat~!

Oh, what exhausting yet fulfilling days, haha! I'm tired but I'm not cranky at all.

I'm really really happy with how the dress turned out. ♥ ♥

Ribbon Fabric ☆ Divisoria Loot

Some of my friends, Meoki and Izhia, were able to get awesome stuff

from Divisoria so I decided to go shopping there, too. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get to the place where they got the nail decals and deco den stuff 'cause I needed to look for a lavender polka-dot fabric which took forever until I just ended up buying something else and going to my favorite craft shop instead. Here are the stuff I got:

I really wanted to buy yards of lavender polka-dot fabric. I had it

planned already.. oh the pastel-y goodness. I had to give it up 'cause the market

was closing (as early as 6:30pm! >.<) But I was able to buy this cute ribbon fabric and

2 yards of lavender fabric to go with it.

There's just one thing I don't like about the ribbon fabric. The tiny green dots. They look

like they've been poked on the fabric using a marker pen. I'm gonna make a dress or a skirt out of them so I hope I can make the outcome look good.

I'll definitely post what I'll be able to finish. ♡

I also bought these really cute lace trimmings from my favorite craft shop:

So, so pretty! Soft tulle embroidered laces are my favorite, I absolutely adore

ribbons, so the fabric and these laces are love love love!

The other stuff are:

I love the heart one. Reminds me of Sailor Moon. XD I'm actually gonna use these
for something else.

The girl I twinned with is Xandra. She's one of the people who

inspired me into becoming a Lolita. I totally spazzed when I first

saw her in a convention wearing her BtSSB ensemble. I wasn't able to

take a photo of her then, though. I'm so happy that she's now one

of my closest friends~ ♪

I've been searching the web for other wigs (the one I'm wearing is from
CosplayWig on ebay) and this one website definitely got my eye on their gorgeous wigs.

I haven't been an active Lolita this year but I'll make sure 2011 will finally

Cheap & Easy Nail Art Decals! 彡☆★

Pink Leopard Water Decals! ♡

My officemate is selling nail art water decals, so I bought a pack and decided to show

how I applied mine.

Stuff needed are: Water, Clear Nail Polish, (in my case I used a Nail Hardener & Base coat for the meantime to hold the decals in place.), and of course the
nail art water decals and the small nail file that goes with it.

First, I cut a small part. I made sure it's about 1cm longer than my nail.

I have really tiny nails. (･ω･;)

Then I dipped the decal in water for a few seconds....

....until the decal slid off from the paper.

Then I pressed the decal on my nail until it dried up, it takes less than a minute for it to. Once it did, I used the nail file to remove the excess decals from my nail. I removed the excess using a downward motion from the tip of my nail while securing the decal in place with my ring finger (that's my pinky on the picture).

I used a nail cutter for the parts where the nail file can't reach.

Finished product! 彡☆

They look so cute with my bow ring. ♥

The Nail Art Water Decals are only PHP60.00 - PHP80.00
Really easy to do and cheap! It doesn't beat all those fancy nail arts
with rhinestones and stuff but this is the easiest way to make your nails look
less ordinary. ♡

It was on sale and my budget last week was just enough for me to buy it so

I went ahead and did so. lol! I'm so gonna complete the stuff needed to make

cute accessories next week when I get my salary~ ♥

Random buys from Singapore

So we went to Singapore last month and these are some of the items I bought while we were there.

♥ Here's a partial review of the Charming-cat liquid eyeliner. ♥

The label kind of makes me think it was spelled wrong but, whatever, 'cause for me this eyeliner is by far better than any other eyeliners I have used. I don't know much about make-up or which brands are the best.
...But I'll get there. heh. :p

What's great about this liquid eyeliner is that it dries up easily. The eyeliners I've tried before tend to smudge after a few hours. This one doesn't smudge at all. Unless of course if you rub your eyes right after putting it on. Also, wiping it off is easy. It doesn't leave black marks on towels or make-up wipes like some liquid eyeliners do.

♥ Next stop: the Lash Applicator ♥

The first time I was able to get my hands on one, I was completely amazed when the sales lady demonstrated how to use it. I was like, "woah, coooool." and immediately bought it.
